Create Bill of Materials (BoM)

Bill of Materials (BoM) is also known as the formula, recipe, or ingredients list.

It serves as a structured list of components, sub-assemblies, and raw materials required to manufacture or assemble a final product. The BoM outlines the hierarchical relationship between different parts and materials needed to produce the end product.

BoM can be added to the each Product Variant.

To check the existing list of all bills of materials in the system:

Manufacturing app > Products > Bills of Materials:

We recommend to create Bill of Materials for the final product directly from the Product form view:

POS app > Products > Product Variants

Choose a product Variant > Click at the smart button “BoM” at the top:

It will open the list of Bills of Materials existing for this product variant.

From here we can create a new one by clicking on the “Create” button:

Fill the next fields:

For the products sold in PoS with Bill of Materials in the "Inventory" tab should be set the Route "Replenish on Order (MTO):

Now after we sell a product through the POS session > at the Inventory Adjustment the quantity of the raw material will be reduced by the value that was set in BoM.
